I was night fishing with some friends on a small boat last week and I brought along my Petzl headlamp. The guys I was with kept asking me for some light. All of them fumbling with hand-held flashlights, trying to bait hooks and find pliers, etc. I LOVE headlamps for any night-time stuff like that. Hands-free can't be beat, especially when baiting hooks or tying on swivels at night! I use a Petzl 5 LED + halogen bulb lamp. Absolutely awesome light, highly recommended.

I know this is off the topic but a buddy of mine accidentally caught a snake while fishing. He was near the bank reeling in a small sunfish when a water snake bit onto it.. He had the thing raised out of the water while it lashed around trying to hang onto the fish. Nutz. I'll post the pictures soon.
